Back to School Get to Know Teacher Note
This year my elementary school decided to send a note to students from their teacher for next year. I am assuming we are doing that because of the pandemic, and the students won’t get to actually meet their teacher on the last day of school.
Although teachers in the other grades will not need to continue this into next year, as a kindergarten teacher, I plan to send this letter every year from here on out. It will make the kindergartners even more excited to start kindergarten.
Plus, my personalized letter is way CUTER than the generic one from the school! I like pictures and so do little kids. Especially when they are little. These 4-5 year olds can look at my Bitmoji and get to know me without reading the words.
I typed a simple hello note. (you can change to a cuter font). Then I shared my favorites and hobbies. Lastly, I positioned my Bitmojis next to each of my likes. (The border was drawn lopsided and I chose this border because it gave the hand-drawn feel.)
If you don’t send out a note to students at the end of the year, you can also send this letter at the start of the new school year, give out at Back to School or send home the first week of school.
To save a Bitmoji picture you choose one in the app (not in messages with others). Click on the picture, then click save. I emailed them to myself, so I can put them in the document.
You don’t NEED a Bitmoji for this letter. Any simple clipart can be added into the document.
A basic template is available for download in my TeachersPayTeachers.
