One of my best friends asked me to make a cake for her nephew’s 2nd birthday cake! They chose Secret Life of Pets theme and picked up some cute characters.
I decided to make a delicious strawberry cake because it is amazingly yummy! Well, I came upon a hick up that I did not anticipate. The delicious strawberry frosting (with bits of strawberry puree) does not dispense from a GRASS tip. That was quite miserable. I kept trying to clean out the tip to get the grass look, but alas, I just “gave up” and made it the best I could.
Her nephew got sick and they had to postpone the party, so into the freezer it went. When it was time, they defrosted it and added the cute animals on and around the cake display.
I love adding figurines to a cake because it gives the child some cute toys of something they love. It is double excitement for them! Isn’t he just so cute!
