LEGOLAND IS FAMILY FUN!

Last year, 2018, my kids were big into Legos and my boys were the perfect age for Legoland. I believe the best ages for Legoland is between 4-10. This is because if you are younger there are only a handful of rides for them and if your kid is older than they may not feel as excited about the rides. There are several family rides which makes for a lot of fun, but if your family is a roller coaster family they may be just a little disappointed in only a few. For my family and kids, I thought Legoland was perfect and I am pretty sure they did too. So many great things made out of Legos made it quite fun for my children to see the creativity that can happen with Legos.

I have an older son who doesn’t care much for roller coasters, but enjoyed going on everything else. My middle age, son, he loved doing the roller coasters with dad (which dad much preferred to the family rides). My daughter loved everything she could go on. Then she was only 2, so there wasn’t much and we did have her say she was 3 years old to get to drive the cars in the toddler spot.  I just enjoyed watching my kids and although roller coasters are fun for me, I was not worried about me going on the roller coasters. Test Track Project X was my 5 year olds favorite roller coaster.

I LOVED the Legoland app. I love that you can look up the rides according to roller coasters, family rides and for kids only.

The app also has other great maps that I found quite useful like where the restrooms and dining is.

One thing I LOVED about Legoland is that some rides had Lego building spots, so the kids could build while parents waited in line. There were very easy spots for the kids to hop in line with their parents. I also had slap bracelets which the kids really enjoyed to play with while waiting in some of the lines with nothing to do.

Another part of Legoland we loved was seeing the Lego characters. My 2 year old was a little hesitant unless mom was with her, but my boys were ecstatic to get a picture and meet them. I also liked that it was easy to ask someone nearby about which character was coming next, plus it was easy to find the places the characters will be. (I cannot say this for Disneyland, which I never could find the characters, but that was like 4 years ago, so maybe they have done better. I don’t know!)

We saw regular Lego characters and characters from the movies. Here is just a couple of the characters we got to see.

If you are wondering if your family should go to Legoland, answer these and decide from there:

Are you guys Lego lovers (any age)?

Are your kids between ages 3-12?

Do you like the Lego movies?
