This is by far the “prettiest” non-fiction book I’ve seen in all my teacher years!

I am so impressed by this book by Gina Gallois! I love the font layout and how it is well organized. Fascinating facts are on every page! Gina Gallois even bolded certain words that represents the opposites.

The Opossum Talk is a fantastic section to open a conversation with the child. Being able to connect a child to the story is so important to help with comprehension!

The illustrator, Aleksandra Bobrek, created such mesmerizing illustrations. The opossums are beyond cute! The forests backgrounds are amazing! Seriously, wall decor at it’s finest!

Sunshine bursts scatter the illustrations. My favorite illustration is the butterfly page because I have a life long love of butterflies! The opossum has the sweetest face on this page in extending friendship to the butterfly!

The opposites are well placed on each page. I love that they are bolded as well. Making words pop out is something I personally love to do on my teacher items as well because it is visually appealing with important details. 🥰

After concluding this book, I had a new love for opossums which is not what I thought would happen. I honestly felt like opossums have not been given enough attention compared to raccoons. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This book would be a FANTASTIC addition to the classroom! Students won’t even realize Opossum Opposites is a non-fiction book before reading. They will be excited to read just because of the welcoming faces of the opossums. 😍 This book can also be used to practice OPPOSITES/ANTONYMS of course!

Thank you to Gina Gallois for helping me love opossums! ❤️ Thank you to Aleksandra Bobrek for drawing me in with the illustrations! ❤️

Order a copy of Opossum Opposites! My own kids enjoyed it,and my students enjoyed it! Win win!

This book can also be found in Spanish!
