This book is beyond GIRLIE! ❤️ Maybe that is why my daughter loves this book. She loves all things sparkly, girlie, and tutus. However, she had very limited experience with tea parties.
Sparklepants is not the girl, but instead it’s the dog’s name! The adventures are told by Ellie Marie, Sparklepants’ owner. I did not anticipate this surprise when I first looked at the book! What a clever idea the author had. 🥰
I love Ellie Marie’s unique style and personality. She is bursting with happiness in her own self which is what I want for my daughters. I want my girls to love themselves in their own style and be happy in all they do. ❤️
I love that Ellie Marie has these adventures with her mom. ❤️ Reminds me of when my daughter would wake up and immediately ask me what we planned to do that day. Ellie Marie gets fancied up for their adventure!

The BFFs and their moms (and their dogs of course), spend their time enjoying various teas and treats. Sparklepants: Terrific Tea Party exposes the reader to the various ingredients in the tea. It’s fun to learn about the teas. With the descriptive words, I could imagine the tea’s flavor!
The tea and flower illustrations are my favorite in the whole book! The illustrator, Katie Abbott, did a stunning job. 😍
After reading Sparklepants: Terrific Tea Party for the THIRD time, my daughter asked to have a tea party. Heck ya! We didn’t have tea party items though, so I scanned Amazon. I found several items, but I went with a larger set with all pieces because it had the right amount of items, and I liked the pretty designs. 😍 if you’re just want tea cups (and use other plates and napkins) there is a great pack with just tea cups!
For the tea party, she wanted to dress up. My daughter rarely lets me curl her hair, but she wanted to have pretty curls like Ellie Marie. No complaints here. The curls didn’t hold up fantastically well, but she had the prettiest sparkle bow from Fairytale Bows & Tutorials. (Use CALLMEJESS to save 25%.)
We invited a few friends over and made simple preparations. (Birthday parties aren’t simple preparations , so this really was simple.)
I am not a tea person, so we chose pink lemonade to enjoy. I had frozen lemon slices in the freezer, but I completely forgot to add them. 🤦🏻♀️
I did NOT forget the sugar cubes though. The girls LOVED adding sugar cubes to their cups.
I kept the treats very simple! We had the best sugar cookies, macaroons and pink, white chocolate covered strawberries. I found cute strawberry lemonade gum cubes for after the treats. The coloring was perfect and one of the kids thought the gum was the best thing ever! 😂
My baby even wanted to join in the fun… I gave her a cup with very little drink though. 😉
