Making a cake purse was a tad harder than I anticipated…well, the handle was the hardest. I also attempted to make my own BLACK fondant. 😲 After this experience, I have learned it is better and easier to just buy black fondant than trying to get enough black dye into the fondant. 😜

I enjoy making cakes, but have learned my girl cakes don’t turn out to my expectations and hopes, ever. 😒 This purse cake had many parts I was not a fan of. The fondant black was difficult and not the perfect mix. I was still learning how to pipe, so the pink lines were broken, but I couldn’t keep wiping it off and trying again. Regardless of the coloring and not perfectness, I was very happy with how her purse cake turned out!

So sad my camera was nothing special back then, but at least I have a keepsake of that cute smile! Isn’t she just adorable?!

As an extra note, I added jewels to the spoons just to make them cuter!
