I had met my backyard neighbor just a year before this birthday party and I discovered her cute shop, Totes Adorable! She had so many adorable purses, I was hooked and so was my daughter. My daughter LOVED purses especially filling them with everything!
So although she was only turning 2 years old, I decided to do a purse themed birthday party! I cut out a purse shape invitation and added a handle. This was our clue to everyone what our theme was going to be. They were fun. I didn’t get a picture of the invitation, but here is the picture we sent inviting her cousin.

I thought the Purse Party turned out so simply and fun for the little ones.
First, since my daughter loved dressing up, so we pulled out all our dress up clothes and the girls all picked cute outfits to put on.
PURSE THEMED ACTIVITy
Since the girls were just little little, I kept this activity very simplified. However, it could easily have been made more difficult. This activity was preparing their “end of party” gift bags. Woohoo!
Each girl got their own little gift bag purse. I was BEYOND EXCITED to find these. They fit my budget and were so cute! (If I had a bigger budget, I would consider purchasing a decent priced purse as a keepsake, but not this year.)
The activity was pretty simple for 2 year olds. I put out items around the room that you would find in a purse. The girls had to go around and collect those items and put them in their purse. Item ideas are: chocolate cash/coins, chap stick, a key, sunglasses, necklace or ring.

Our other activity we did was not a purse activity, but was playing with a parachute! The girls LOVED this activity. They could do this for quite a while, especially when you add balls on it.
